Sonia Raman, Owner

I started Sightline in North Miami in 2012 after watching too many homeowners get a verbal “ballpark” that somehow doubled once the crew showed up. Haven Clause 1 exists because of that - the measurement and the quote are the same document, and the price I write is the price you pay. I hold a Florida Residential Contractor license and personally review every measured survey before it goes out. When I’m not checking sightline measurements or arguing with a supplier about delayed PGT impact frames, I’m usually restoring old wooden boats in Biscayne Bay - a hobby that taught me more about waterproofing than any certification course.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been with us since 2018 and runs the crew on every impact window and door installation we do in North Miami, Miami Shores, and Aventura. He’s certified in high-velocity hurricane zone (HVHZ) installation by PGT and CGI, which means he knows exactly how many fasteners go into a frame rated for 175 mph wind loads - and he counts them out loud so the homeowner hears it. Before Sightline, Marcus spent six years installing storefront systems on Collins Avenue, where a quarter-inch out of plumb is visible from the sidewalk. He keeps a magnetic level in his truck that he’s had since trade school, and he still checks it against a laser before every job. Off hours, he coaches youth basketball at North Miami Beach Senior High and has strong opinions about the heat gain through east-facing windows in Florida mornings.

Elena V., Senior Installer

Elena specializes in custom and geometric windows, the jobs where the opening isn’t rectangular and the manufacturer drawings look like geometry homework. She’s been installing windows in South Florida since 2015 and joined Sightline in 2021, bringing expertise in ECO Window Systems and ES Windows product lines that require field fabrication of aluminum cladding. Elena holds a certification in thermal break installation, which matters more than most people realize in North Miami’s climate - a poorly seated thermal break means your AC works harder for ten years. She grew up in Hialeah and still lives there, which means she knows exactly how the afternoon sun hits west-facing sliding doors in Dade County subdivisions built in the 1970s. Her detail work is meticulous; she once spent four hours on a single arched transom because the drywall return wasn’t square, and she refused to caulk over someone else’s mistake.

Darnell J., Service Coordinator

Darnell answers the phones that ring at all hours - live, not voicemail - and schedules every measured survey, installation, and callback in North Miami. He’s been with Sightline since 2019 and knows our lead times for every manufacturer line by heart: PGT impact windows at four to six weeks, CGI architectural series at eight, ViewLux garage doors at two if the size is standard. Darnell is the person who calls you the day before to confirm the crew’s arrival window, and he’s the person who sends the documented photo record within 24 hours of job completion. Before joining us, he coordinated logistics for a commercial glass contractor, so he understands what “tempered glass lead time” means when a homeowner’s slider is boarded up with plywood. He lives in North Miami proper and can tell you which neighborhoods have HOA architectural review committees that require pre-approval for frame color changes - because he’s filed those packets himself.

Anaïs R., Apprentice Installer

Anaïs joined Sightline in 2024 after completing a construction trades program at Miami Dade College. She’s currently working toward her full installer certification under Marcus’s supervision and has already completed her HVHZ awareness training. Anaïs handles prep work, material staging, and sealant application on every job she’s assigned to, and she’s learning to read architectural drawings the way we actually use them in the field - not the way they’re taught in classrooms. She grew up in a 1962 ranch in Sans Souci where the original jalousie windows leaked every summer, so she understands from the homeowner’s side why U-factor and SHGC ratings matter in Florida. She’s the one on the crew who remembers to check that the window opens before the caulk goes in, because she watched her father fight a painted-shut sash for twenty minutes every spring.
